Subject: A Blessed Heart

Dear Righteous Rapper:
I'm 17 years old and have a history of being a trouble making teen that never really had a lot of friends. I would go to church maybe two days if I felt like it. I went to Ground Zero and even to someone like me it was a disgrace to churches.
A year later I went back and it had changed. I started going more. Now I am working there and going to church four days a week.
I have more friends than ever before, I am trusted, I can trust my friends, I love more people and rarely ever get in disagreements with anyone. I have more respect for my parents and a better relationship to God.
Thank you Ground Zero for everything. I owe so much to you alone. God bless you all!
A Good Friend,
Jessie

Dear Jessie:
Thank you for e-mailing your wonderful comments! I'm so excited to read of your growth in Christ.
There are some dedicated adults who love you and many other teens that attend Ground Zero.
Sure, there are those that are rowdy and come to either play free games or hang out with friends. But also, there are those, like you, who have used Ground Zero as a launching pad to an exciting relationship with Jesus Christ!
Many "church kids" often find Ground Zero uncomfortable and not the "norm" thing for Christians to hang out. But stories like yours provide proof that with a little love and kindness in Christ, our efforts to expand His kingdom is growing.
Thank you for blessing us!
